Aitchison Raffety Healthcare Shortlisted For The 2010 Health Investor Awards

16/02/2010

Aitchison Raffety Healthcare has been nominated as a finalist in the Property Consultant of the Year section in the 2010 Health Investor Awards.  The winner will be announced at a gala dinner at the Hilton Park Lane, London on 27 May 2010.

The awards are designed to promote excellence and innovation in the healthcare sector and recognise organisations and individuals who have made significant contributions to the industry in 2009.

Commenting on the achievement in being selected as a finalist, John Hearle, chairman and head of healthcare said: "2009 was a pivotal year for Aitchison Raffety Healthcare.  To strengthen our non NHS healthcare capabilities we acquired Cavenidsh Tate, a firm with a similar ethos to our own, which has over 25 years' specialist experience within the nursing and care home sector.

"Cut backs in NHS funding caused projects to be delayed or even stopped, and during 2009 we worked hard to get projects to the point where agreements could be exchanged.  Indeed, we worked on 57 new healthcare projects and developments during the year and also carried out a record number of valuations as well as undertaking lease and rent renewals, disposals and acquisitions, market rent assessments and appeals and portfolio valuations."

Judges for the Health Investor awards include Lord Ara Darzi KBE, Bob Ricketts, director systems management and new enterprise in the Department of Health, Nick Bosanquet, professor of health policy at Imperial College, Martin Green, chief executive, English Community Care Association, Susan Anderson, director public services and skills, CBI and David Worskett, director NHS Partners Network.
